Do not wait for someday

Miventura was created from a desire to give back to my mother, a difficult diagnosis and the realization that time is more valuable than we often understand.

Our story

Why Miventura exists

Growing up, I watched my mother carry a lot on her own. She worked through life with very little support from a husband or partner, yet somehow always made sure my two sisters and I were taken care of. No matter what she was dealing with personally or financially, she remained responsible, dependable and present as our mother.

Watching her push through those years stayed with me. As I got older, one thing became increasingly important to me: I wanted to reach a point where I could relieve some of the financial weight she had carried for so long. Not because she asked me to, but because after watching her provide for us for years, I wanted to eventually give her more security, breathing room and freedom.

I entered the transportation industry at 19 years old and have continued building my career from there. A major reason I have kept working, learning and trying to build something beyond my regular income is because I want to help my mother financially over the long run and ease some of the responsibilities she has carried for most of her life.

Today, 08/2026 I'm 24 years old. Im working for Marten Transport, a company I am grateful to be part of. Trucking has given me discipline, experience and the ability to invest in my future. It has also required long periods away from home, which made the time I spent with my family feel even more valuable.

In April 2026, my mother was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. That diagnosis changed how I understand time. The future I believed I could slowly work toward became more uncertain, more urgent and more precious.

The time I thought I had to reach that goal may be shorter than I once believed. That truth is painful, but it has also made my purpose clearer. I do not want to keep waiting for the perfect moment or for life to finally feel financially secure before I start doing more for her.

Miventura was created from that realization. I do not want to simply ask people for money. I want to build something useful that earns support by helping the public discover services, restaurants, cafés, stays, attractions and experiences while helping businesses reach new customers.

The decision to build a discovery platform came directly from the time I spent with my mother whenever I returned home from driving. We usually did not have anything planned. We would go out to eat, then visit Lowe's or a local plant nursery because I knew she enjoyed looking at plants and occasionally buying one. I valued those simple outings because they gave us time together.

Afterward, we often did not know where else to go. I would search online, but most of the results felt repetitive or did not seem interesting enough to turn into a real plan. Many times, we would simply head home. I kept thinking there had to be a better way to find something worth doing without already knowing exactly what to search for.

The idea finally became clear when my sister moved back to town from San Antonio. She began recommending places we had never considered. One day, we all visited a small local business that served matcha drinks, something unfamiliar to me at the time. While we were sitting in that parking lot, I pictured the entire concept for Miventura in about ten minutes.

I imagined a platform that would not only show people a list of places. It would help create an adventure based on who they were with, what they felt like doing, how much time they had and what kind of experience they wanted. At the same time, it would give small and independent businesses a better opportunity to be discovered by people who might never think to search for them by name.

That is why Miventura is a discovery platform. It was inspired by wanting to make the limited time I have with my mother more meaningful, while helping other families, couples, friends and individuals find experiences they may otherwise overlook.

Every visitor should receive something useful. Every participating business should receive a real opportunity to be discovered. As Miventura grows, the revenue it earns helps me work toward the promise I have carried since I was young: giving my mother more security, freedom and time with the people she loves.

The mission is not built on sympathy. It is built on value. Miventura should help people discover more, help businesses grow and create a sustainable way for me to support my mother during one of the most difficult periods of our lives.

Create value for others. Build something lasting. Give my mother more time.

Love your parents now

My mother's diagnosis made me realize how easily we delay the things that matter most. We tell ourselves that we will spend more time together later, help more when we earn more and say what we feel when the moment is right.

You do not need to have everything figured out or be financially comfortable to begin. Call them. Visit them. Listen to their stories. Help them when you can. Tell them what they mean to you. Your attention, presence, patience and love matter now.

Do not wait until fear, illness or regret reminds you how valuable that time always was. Someday is not guaranteed.

Love your parents. Show up for them. Make the time while you still have it.

A clear and honest mission

Hope for J.P.M is the reason Miventura was created. My goal is to create value for other people, build something useful and lasting, and use what Miventura earns to give me more time with my mother. Most importantly, I want to give my mother more time, security and freedom while she continues her fight against multiple myeloma.
